Abstract: The construction of bridges is a critical component of infrastructure advancement; however, it is accompanied by considerable occupational risks. This review article investigates the common types, underlying causes, and repercussions of global accidents in bridge construction projects. The study of data derived from diverse case studies, industry analyses, and scholarly publications identifies prevalent risk factors, including falls from heights, equipment malfunctions, and structural failures. The discussion extends to the ramifications of these incidents on worker safety, project schedules, and financial implications. Additionally, the paper assesses existing safety measures and their efficacy in risk reduction. It also emphasizes innovative technologies and best practices that hold the potential for improving safety conditions in bridge construction.
