Fees or Article Processing Charges

Most of the WSEAS Journals did not have Fees or Article Processing Charges from 2002 until 2021 though they were OA (Open Access) since January 1st of 2007.
After June 8, 2022, WSEAS imposed again Fees or Article Processing Charges, but for authors
publishing quality articles in WSEAS Transactions, WSEAS offered and offers waivers and discounts in cases of
quality scientific research or in cases that the authors are not in a position to cover the APCs,
because they do not receive financial support from their universities/institutions or they come from developing countries.
In 2022 more than 70% of the authors in WSEAS transactions published their paper without
payment of APCs in our Journals. WSEAS provides waivers and discounts to the authors that have excellent scientific work to present or to the authors that are
not in a position to pay their Fees or Article Processing Charges. However some times WSEAS can change the journal for publication informing the authors in advance in order to provide them better fees
or free publication. No paper can be deleted from our web site after the publication for any reason.
These authors must send their papers only by EMAIL, in order to avoid Article Processing Charges!
Requests for minor corrections, after the online publication, regarding the English Language, Figures, Format etc are examined by a Managing Editor and our Secretariat.
Corrections, after the online publication, for errors that are not due to
WSEAS Secretariat and to our WebMaster are subject to fees: 100 EUR per page that the authors ask for correction.
Requests for major corrections, after the online publication, regarding the scientific part of the paper and the
References are forwarded to the Editor-in-Chief. The Decision can be approved for corrections (after peer review) or rejection.
In case of approval the same fee is also applied: 100 EUR per page that needs correction.
ANNOUNCEMENT:
After September 7, 2024, our authors will have to provide WSEAS with their debit/credit card details for
a block (not a charge) of the small amount of 10 euros before peer review begins.
Of course, we will NEVER charge your debit/credit card and we will NOT use it in any case
(neither in acceptance nor in rejection of your paper).
It shows only your willingness to pay the publication fees in case of acceptance.
Even in case of acceptance, we will not charge your Credit/Debit Card without a new authorization.
This Policy is Necessary so that our Editors-in-chief, Our Associate Editors and our Reviewers
only focus on articles for which the authors actually agree to pay the publication fees.
Neither in acceptance nor in rejection of your paper, we will never get money from your debit/credit card
without your new authorization.
If for some reason, you do not want to give us your Credit/Debit Card, please, send us an email and we will give you a Bank Account where
you will make small deposit of money (10 EUR) just as a commitment that you are willing to pay the fees. In case of rejection, the 10 EUR
will be returned to you (fully refundable).
It is the policy that will allow us to minimize the cases of authors who refuse to pay the fees
after the tedious, long and difficult task of peer review or even authors who receive comments
from our reviewers only because they intend to improve their work and submit it to another Publisher
later elsewhere or even authors who send articles written by AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools
or plagiarized or self-plagiarized work.

* For Short Papers: the author must contact the WSEAS Secretariat: support@wseas.org because the length on the manuscript is depending on the format and on the fonts. Usually articles with less than 4 pages are Short papers, but you must
contact us to check the fonts and the format.

Authors who submit papers to a WSEAS journal agree to the following terms:

All papers must be submitted via our electronic platform. If you wish to send your contribution, locate the journal that interests you in our web site and follow the instructions to upload it. We do not accept papers as e-mail attachments.

Only original research work is welcome. Submission of a paper to WSEAS is a declaration that it hasn't been published or simultaneously submitted anywhere else, and that includes other WSEAS publications.

Abstracts or draft versions will not be accepted. Make sure that you finalize your paper before you send it.

All papers must be written in the exact format stated in the web page of the journal to which it is submitted.

The author understands that all papers are peer reviewed by 2-5 independent reviewers and that all their comments must be addressed by making the necessary revisions.

WSEAS allows the author to retain the copyright in their articles. Articles are published under a Creative Commons License (usually Attribution-Only, or CC-BY) to allow others to freely access, copy and use research provided the author is correctly attributed. The Published Papers are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution International License (CC BY 4.0). http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ In all the published papers, author(s) retain the copyright of their article. The articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License 4.0.

By submitting a paper the author certifies that he/she has permission from every other coauthor mentioned in the paper to do so.

Revised versions of a journal paper will only be accepted before the Editor in Chief declares it as 'camera ready'. Any revisions after that date will be ignored.

The author understands that every paper submitted to a journal of WSEAS is published only in case of acceptance.

The authors ensure that the details in each reference are complete and accurate according to the data and all references should be cited within the article otherwise the references will be removed by the reviewers.

It is a condition of submission of a paper that the authors should edit their paper as many times as they will be requested in order to ensure the articles readability.

All articles should be submitted in English.

The articles can be uploaded in libraries and institutional repository as long as they properly cite the articles according to the publisher.

The author(s) should declare(s) that there is no conflict of interests regarding the publication of their paper(s).

Requests for paper withdrawal are submitted only to WSEAS and are reviewed by WSEAS and can be accepted or not. Requests for paper withdrawal are submitted only to WSEAS from the same email address that the author used to upload the paper.

Paper withdrawal is not allowed after the review process has been completed.
