Certain Investigations on Drowsiness Alert system based on Heart Rate Variability using LabVIEW
Authors: ,
Abstract: Monitoring of cardiac activity of post operating patients in a driving state is one of the emerging applications in bio medical research. The detection of QRS complexes in an Electrocardiogram (ECG) signal provides information about the heart rate within the heart as well as various abnormalities such as hyperkalemia, cardiac hypertrophy, etc. A system that detects drowsiness and heart attack of a driving person in advance would prevent major accidents. The emphasis is on QRS complex detection and analysis of heart rate variability and we have performed an analysis for detecting drowsiness of Post-operative patient through Heart rate variability using LabVIEW as a tool. Results with lower heart rate classify it as fatigue and increased heart rate as abnormality.
