Abstract: The filtering system is an indispensible way to cancel all harmonics which are generated by the nonlinear load. In this paper, we will study the impact of the network’s impedance on the filtering characteristic in two cases: In the first one, we will treat the behavior of the passive filter alone in relation to the short circuit power. The second part, we’ll study a hybrid active filters in relation to the short circuit power. The obtained results are very interesting and show the importance of this electrical characteristic on the behavior of the active and/or passive filtering system.
