Abstract: This study examines the short- and long-run effects of renewable energy consumption, political stability, and green trade on economic growth in BRICS nations. Using annual secondary data for Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, and Indonesia from 2002 until 2023, sourced from the World Bank, IEA, UNCTAD, and IMF. The analysis applies a dynamic panel Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) model estimated in Stata 17. The findings indicate that renewable energy consumption has a positive and significant effect on economic growth in both the short and long term. Green trade also contributes positively and significantly by strengthening export competitiveness and foreign exchange earnings. In contrast, political stability does not show a significant effect on economic growth. These results highlight the importance of accelerating energy transition and expanding green trade to sustain growth in emerging economies.
