Abstract: This Research analyses the relationships among corruption, government spending, FDI, and human capital across as many ASEAN countries as possible, with particular attention to Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Primary data were collected from the World Bank and Transparency International. Government spending, corruption, and human capital were analysed using the Corruption Perception Index and the Human Capital Index, using health and education as proxy variables. In the study's analysis of inter-variable relationships, the partnership between health and corruption, and the relationship between health and FDI, were particularly noteworthy. In addition, the study found that government spending and the Corruption Perception Index exhibit a strong negative correlation. Furthermore, government spending significantly and positively impacts the health variable.
