Abstract: At the Forma viva international sculpture symposium, Maribor presented an urbanistically interesting approach to artistic creation in concrete. Selected established artists were invited to install sculptures alongside newly constructed concrete buildings. This involves realizing artistic ideas using one of the most demanding materials, concrete, at the fourth Forma viva venue. It is a challenge for all participating artists, engineers, lawyers, and other experts in the collaborative creation of artworks in an open urban environment. The research in this article focuses on the possibilities of using digital tools and artificial intelligence in contemporary artistic creation. The article provides an answer to how modern technology, based on past projects, enables artists to create new transitions in various art spaces. The research is based on the example of Japanese artist Harunori Fujimoto and his concrete sculpture titled Spiral, created as part of the international sculpture symposium Forma viva in Maribor in 1983.
