Abstract: In this paper, a small fractal antenna is designed using an FR4 substrate for mobile applications. The antenna exhibits coupling in the LTE band of cellular systems (from 170 MHz to 3.8 GHz). The proposed antenna of size 60 x 60 mm is based on the Sierpinski carpet geometry with iteration degree of 3. The FR4 substrate dielectric constant is $$ε_{r} = 4.4$$, and the thickness of the substrate 1.544 mm. The fractal antenna was simulated by HFSS.
