Study of Effective Software Project Management Practices through DevOps Adoption

Abstract: DevOps practices are an effective combination of development and operation that has emerged as a transformative process for software project management. It is completely focused on improving software quality, delivery speed, as well as effective team collaboration within an organization. Grounded theory approach (GTA) is frequently used in management research to develop new theories. Adopting DevOps practices for effective software project management has the goal of providing organizations with a comprehensive approach to software development that prioritizes collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement. The goal of this notion is to assist organizations in streamlining their workflows, reducing waste, and improving team communication, leading in better software solutions that suit the needs of their consumers. Findings presented in the paper identifies that increased the speed of automation and allowed the development of new and interesting features in various types of software. The research concludes that DevOps practices are necessary for managing software projects effectively. Furthermore, future recommendations are provided for the research such as automated testing, cultural transformation, security integration, and others by implementing DevOps practices.
