Abstract: Organizations these days are constantly exposed to cyber-attacks, such as data theft and exploitation that benefit others, that, ultimately, lead to the destruction of their infrastructure or network. As such, this present study examined the factors that would increase the efficiency and ability of organizations to confront cyber-attacks. A total of 216 participants responded to a questionnaire that examined why it is important for organizations in developing countries to have cybersecurity specialists that are educated, trained, problem solvers, and cleaver-cybersecurity specialized. The ability of an organization to successfully build an environment capable of responding to cyber-attacks requires determining the skills of its cybersecurity specialists as well as training them. It also requires increasing employee awareness of cyber-attacks and developing the cybersecurity infrastructure of the organization.
