Abstract: This article presents a systematic literature review of the evolving relationship between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the European Union (EU), with a focus on identifying the main challenges and opportunities for interregional cooperation. The review was guided by the PRISMA 2020 methodology and the PICo framework. The findings reveal asymmetries, legal fragmentation, and geopolitical tensions as key barriers to deeper cooperation. However, literature also identifies opportunities in areas such as digital infrastructure, trade facilitation, and investment climate development. This study contributes to the ongoing academic and policy dialogue on regionalism and strategic interdependence in Eurasia.
