Abstract: This research aims to analyze the representation of women in the legislative body and evaluate the effectiveness of affirmative policies supporting women's participation in elections. Although laws mandate a 30% quota for women in parliament, the reality on the ground shows that women's participation still falls far short of the ideal, both at the national and local levels. Bojonegoro Regency was chosen as a case study due to its unique political dynamics and the challenges women face in securing legislative positions. Through this study, it is hoped that the factors hindering and supporting women's representation in the legislature can be identified, as well as how elected women can influence public policy. The findings of this research are expected to provide useful recommendations for policymakers, political parties, and society in encouraging greater involvement of women in politics. Thus, this research contributes to the development of inclusive public policies that are responsive to the needs of women in society.
