Abstract: This work deals with the issue of WEDM machining. The study analyzes the effect of technological parameters such as wire tension force, wire feed and flushing pressure on the accuracy and quality of wire electrode erosion machining (WEDM). The experimental work is focused on the measurement of shape accuracy and the formation of a barrel shape on samples of steel alloy material. The results show that the most important technological parameter influencing the deviation from straightness is the wire tension force. Increasing the tension of the wire leads to a reduction of the undesirable barrel-shaped shape and an acceleration of the machining process. Knowing the mutual interactions of technological parameters can serve as a valuable starting point for further improvement of wire machining processes and overall production efficiency.
