NSM Solution on Transient Natural Convective Viscous Fluid Flow Past a Vertical Cone
Authors: , ,
Abstract: The unsteady free convective flow of the non-isothermal vertical cone with wall surface temperature varying as power function of distance from the apex ( ) with the effects of viscous dissipation is considered here. The dimensionless parabolic integro-partial differential equations that are non-linear, unsteady and coupled are solved using a new method NSM technique. The velocity, temperature profiles and the local as well as average skin-friction and Nusselt number have been studied and analyzed graphically for the effect of viscous dissipation for various parameters of angle , Prandtl number and n (exponent in power law variation in surface temperature). The present results are compared with available results in literature and are found to be in good agreement.
