Examining the Efficiency of Emotiv Insight Headset by Measuring Different Stimuli
Authors: , ,
Abstract: BCI (Brain-Computer Interface) is used to connect a computer with a device that senses brain activity. Devices based on EEG (electroencephalography) technology are used to sense brain activity. EEG-based BCI has become an important tool for real-time analysis of brain activity. This article examines the quality and usability of the signals recorded using the Emotiv device. To examine brain activity, visual, auditory and visual-auditory stimuli were investigated. Responses were observed using wireless noninvasive EEG device Emotiv Insight. Two software was used to measure the signals. The first was software Emotiv Xavier ControlPanel and the second was mobile application MyEmotiv. Measurements were performed with four participants.
