        <jats:abstract>
Urban traffic environments are characterized by high conflict potential between vehicles and vulnerable road users, often leading to severe accidents. The installation of raised medians and the redesign of intersections are frequently implemented as countermeasures to manage traffic flow, reduce speeds, and minimize conflict points. However, the specific safety impact of these interventions in diverse urban contexts requires rigorous, data-driven evaluation to guide infrastructure investment.
